Fifty years after ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest, the success of the legendary Swedish pop group will be extensively celebrated in Malmö. In the song festival’s host city, a pop-up event will take place in May, including an exhibition.

Under the title ABBA world, from April 29 to May 12, during the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest, attention will be paid to the entire ABBA history in one place for the first time. This includes parts of the ABBA Museum, the current concert series Voyage in London, the musical Mamma Mia!, the event Mamma Mia! The Party and ABBA’s record label Polar Music.

The chances of ABBA’s members making an appearance at the song festival seem slim. Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson already announced last year that they do not want to do anything. The group won the song contest in 1974 with the song Waterloo.

In late 2021, ABBA released new music for the first time in 40 years. Since May 2022, hologram concerts of ABBA have been on display in London. At the premiere, the four reunited in public for the first time in 36 years.
