Dan Hartman

Dan Hartman is a well-known Disco artist and producer, thanks for his 1978 single “Instant Replay”.

That year the other one charted, called “Free Ride”. After this huge success, Dan started producing other bands.
Then, just in 1984, he would be back on the charts with a song performed by himself called “I can dream about you”. His last album was “Keep the fire burning”, with the disco diva Loleatta Holloway in 1994, with a radio hit called “Relight my fire”.

Unfortunately, Dan left us that same year due to health problems caused by AIDS. We all miss you, Dan! Loleatta is a great diva from the 70s. In the early 70s she recorded her disco hits on Salsoul Records. Recorded in 1977, “Runaway” is a classic.

Produced by Vicent Montana Jr., Loleatta and Salsoul Orchestra mixed disco, with soul and other rhythms, making an incredible sound. “Runaway” would be re-recorded twenty years later by Nuyorican Soul, who made a great version for this song, performed by India, and the same Vicent Montana’s Salsoul Orchestra.

Loleatta also has the hit “Hit and Run”, very similar to “Runaway”, and an incredible duo with DAN HARTMAN in “Relight My fire”.
Loleatta would record with him again in 1994, the song “Keep the fire burning”.
