Danny O’Donoghue Married
Singer Danny O’Donoghue has married his girlfriend Anais Niang. The singer of the Irish band The Script said yes last Thursday.
We are overjoyed to be married and are now taking our first steps towards the rest of our lives together, the newlyweds told the Daily Mail.
O’Donoghue, 44, and Niang, 31, had been engaged since August last year. He met her during the corona pandemic. Four years later, the singer proposed to her at his favorite place on earth in Norway.
We hiked to the top of a mountain to see the most beautiful waterfall in the world: the Seven Sisters. I nearly fainted from lugging all the champagne, glasses and food in case she said yes. I had to do it all without her knowing.
The wedding follows a difficult few years for O’Donoghue following the death of The Script bandmate Mark Sheehan in 2023. Sheehan died at the age of 46 after a short illness. The news came as a surprise to many.
Last year, O’Donoghue revealed that he had lost track of things after Sheehan’s death and had turned to alcohol.
He has since stopped drinking alcohol in early 2024.
