Nick Carter Accused Of Sexual Abuse Again
Nick Carter is being accused of sexual abuse again. The alleged victim claims the Backstreet Boys singer gave her a sexually transmitted disease that led to cervical cancer. Carter denies the allegations.
Laura Penley, 45, says she had a sexual relationship with Carter when she was 19. The two allegedly had consensual sex several times, although Carter refused to use a condom.
When Penley stopped having sex, Carter allegedly violently abused her. The woman says she did it again during a later encounter.
Penley says Carter infected her with multiple sexually transmitted diseases, including the human papillomavirus (HPV), which is known to cause health problems such as cervical cancer.
The alleged victim reportedly tested positive for chlamydia and gonorrhea in July 2005. Doctors also found cancer cells that she said were caused by an HPV infection.
The woman was subsequently diagnosed with cervical cancer. She says she had to undergo numerous treatments for this.
According to People, Penley is seeking damages from the 45-year-old Carter. Previously, other women accused the singer of sexual abuse.
He has always denied all allegations.
