Billie Eilish On Collaborating With Her Brother
Billie Eilish plans to continue working with her brother, Finneas O’Connell, with whom she writes all her music. The singer and her brother can be mean to each other without repercussions, she said during a Q&A session in London.
With a brother or sister, you can be so honest and direct with each other, the 23-year-old Eilish said. “With Finneas, I never have to worry about us not being friends anymore, or having a fight, or his feelings being hurt in a way we can’t fix.
“Finneas and I have said the meanest things to each other because we’re brother and sister. That’s just how it goes,” the American singer continued.
“We love each other more than anyone has ever loved anyone else. I think that’s why it’s so special, and why I don’t feel the need to collaborate with anyone else to be myself.”
O’Connell and Eilish have collaborated on music since they were young. They co-wrote all the hits on Eilish’s three albums. The duo is known for songs like “Bad Guy,” “Lovely,” “When the Party’s Over,” and “BIRDS OF A FEATHER.”
They have won nine Grammys and two Oscars for their music.
