Aimee Lou Wood felt insecure after playing multiple sex scenes in the popular Netflix series Sex Education.
I felt like I had done the weirdest things of anyone, the 31-year-old actress tells The Times.
I felt very vulnerable, says Wood. If we had all shown our breasts, it would have been better.
The British actress hardly went out for a while because of her insecurity. I hid myself and started to desexualize myself.
Wood can currently be seen in The White Lotus. She also appears naked in that series. I was now able to talk to many other actresses about the sex scenes, the actress says. We had good conversations, which made me feel less alone.
Wood starred in Sex Education, about the sex lives of high school students, from 2019 to 2023. In the third season of The White Lotus, she plays the role of Chelsea, one of the guests at the luxury resort White Lotus.
