New album Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus will release her ninth studio album Something Beautiful on May 30.
The singer announced this on Monday via Instagram, where she also shared the album cover.
The album consists of thirteen songs. In an earlier interview with fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar, the 32-year-old American singer said that the record was inspired by the album The Wall by Pink Floyd.
The album cover shows Cyrus in an outfit by fashion designer Thierry Mugler from 1997.
The photo was taken by fashion photographer Glen Luchford, who previously worked with model Kate Moss, among others.
According to Cyrus, the image fits in with the visual style and concept of the album.
Cyrus became internationally known through her leading role in the Disney series Hannah Montana.
She broke through as a pop singer with hits such as Wrecking Ball, Party in the U.S.A. and Flowers.
