Kim Kardashian wants to get her hands on the Bible that her late father Robert Kardashian once gave to O.J. Simpson.

The executor of Simpson’s estate has rejected her offer of $15,000 (almost 14,000 euros), reports the American magazine People.

The Bible in which Robert Kardashian wrote a message for Simpson is part of an online auction of the former American football player’s possessions. Simpson died in April 2024.

Kim Kardashian made her bid outside of the auction. According to executor Malcolm LaVergne, that is the reason the sale could not go ahead.

LaVergne indicated that the extra costs associated with such a bid do not outweigh the proceeds.

If Kim had offered $150,000 for it, we would have gone to court to have it approved outside of the auction, LaVergne tells People.

However, Kardashian still has a chance of getting her hands on the book. Kim can place an online bid, LaVergne says.

The highest bid on the Bible is currently $9,800. She may even get it for less than $15,000, so who knows.

Robert Kardashian signed the Bible on June 18, 1994, auction house Goldin reports.

The attorney, who died in 2003, gave it to Simpson as a token of friendship and support during a tumultuous time in the life of the late Hall of Famer O.J. Simpson, Goldin writes.

Simpson was tried in 1994 for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and was acquitted in 1995. Robert Kardashian stood by him in the trial.

Kardashian signed the Bible the day after Simpson was arrested.

The inscription inside the Bible reads, in part: This book will help. God loves you and he will speak to you in his words.
