Another Simple Favor Director Denies Feud

Paul Feig, director of Another Simple Favor, refutes rumors that Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are feuding.

Feig was responding to a post by a YouTuber on X, claiming there is something going on between the lead actresses.

I just reported that Blake is terrified to walk the carpet because Anna is pissed and never wants to work with her again, YouTuber Melanie King wrote alongside a photo showing Lively and Kendrick, among others.

Feig, who attended the film’s premiere with the actresses at the South by Southwest film festival in Texas, responded to King’s post. Um … you’re wrong, the director wrote.

Rumors of a feud circulated after the actresses, who were previously seen together in A Simple Favor (2018), responded on the red carpet when asked what it was like to work together again.

Both actresses answered briefly and quickly walked on. The 37-year-old Lively called reuniting with her co-star the best, while the 39-year-old Kendrick responded with: “Oh, you know.”

Lively has been under a magnifying glass for some time because of her legal battle with Justin Baldoni, her antagonist in It Ends With Us.

The actress accuses Baldoni of sexual harassment and defamation. Baldoni, in turn, filed a countersuit alleging extortion and defamation.

The lawsuit is due next year in New York.
