Shakira Admitted To Hospital

Shakira has been admitted to a hospital in Peru.

The Colombian singer announced on Instagram that she was taken to the emergency room on Saturday evening with abdominal complaints and will not be able to perform for the time being.

Due to her hospitalization, Shakira had to cancel her performance in the capital Lima on Sunday. According to her doctors, she is currently too weak for that.

I think it is a great shame that I cannot be on stage today. I was really looking forward to being together with my wonderful fans here in Peru again, she writes.

The singer does not share anything further about her complaints or the cause of them.

The 48-year-old Shakira hopes that she will be discharged on Monday and will then feel well enough to do the second planned concert.

In a new message, she thanks her fans for all the loving messages. You give me so much strength.
