Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has filed a $100 million lawsuit against NBC and streaming service Peacock over the documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.

The rapper, who is currently in prison on sexual assault and human trafficking charges, has called statements made in the documentary “false” and “defamatory.”

The film features many former employees who make statements about Combs.

Peacock says the film provides crucial insight into the forces that shaped Combs and may have turned him into a monster.

Diddy’s lawyers say the documentary assumes that Combs committed several heinous crimes, including murder, rape of minors and human trafficking.

Diddy and his team say that none of these claims are true. They call the conclusion that Diddy “became a monster” malicious and unfounded.

Diddy has been in custody in New York since September. Dozens of people have accused Combs of sexual misconduct.

A criminal trial against the rapper is set to begin in May. NBC and Peacock have not yet responded on Wednesday.

The ninety-minute documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy has been available on streaming service Peacock since January 14.

It is not the only documentary currently in circulation about the rapper. Shortly after the release of Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy, Discovery released The Fall of Diddy.

Netflix is also working on a documentary about the rapper.
