Demi Moore visits her ex-husband Bruce Willis, who suffers from frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, every week.
“We will always be family,” says the actress.
Moore and Willis have three daughters together: Rumer (36), Scout (33) and Tallulah (30). The couple separated in 2000.
Willis (69) has two more daughters with his current wife Emma Heming.
“We will always be a family, just in a different form,” says the 62-year-old Moore in an interview with Variety.
“For me, there was never any doubt. I’m there for him because that’s what you do for the people you love.”
She also makes the weekly visits to support her daughters and her ex’s current partner.
“I hope it’s encouraging to others to see that there is another way to do things.
There is life after divorce. There is a way to parent together with love.”
In 2022, it was announced that Willis suffers from aphasia. This language disorder forced him to stop acting.
Last year, the news about frontotemporal dementia also came out.
There is no treatment for the disease.
