Lily Allen Struggles With Dating
Lily Allen has struggled with dating since her relationship with actor David Harbour ended. The British singer finds dating much harder than she expected, she tells Perfect Magazine.
Allen calls dating as a 40-year-old woman with two young children much harder than for a 34-year-old woman. “It’s incredibly disappointing,” she says.
“There’s a sense of humiliation and shame surrounding it.”
According to the Smile singer, this is mainly due to how society views women her age. “The world doesn’t see women my age as attractive,” she says.
“It just feels like a mountain to climb.”
Allen and Stranger Things actor Harbour tied the knot in 2020, but announced their split in February of this year. Shortly afterward, Allen checked herself into a mental health clinic.
