Hugh Jackman’s Ex-Wife Cites Adultery As Reason For Divorce
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have filed for divorce in court, TMZ reports. Furness has also spoken out for the first time about the cause of the divorce. She has cited adultery as the reason for the breakup.
My condolences go out to anyone who has experienced betrayal, Furness tells the Daily Mail. She says that faith has helped her cope with the breakup of a marriage of almost 30 years.
We are all on our own journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random, she continues. We are drawn to people and we invite them to teach us a lesson. Despite everything, I remain grateful.
Furness and Jackman have been sitting around the table for two years to work out all the details, including the care of their two adult children: Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19. In principle, the signing of the papers by the judge is just a formality, TMZ reports.
The 56-year-old X-Men star and his wife announced in September 2023 that they were splitting after 27 years of marriage.
