The American baseball world is in the grip of the ‘Torpedo Bat‘.

The New York Yankees broke a record last Saturday by hitting no fewer than nine home runs in one game with the new bat.

After two heavy defeats in two days, Trevor McGill has had enough of the Yankees and their ‘torpedo bat’. They are terrible, the Milwaukee Brewers pitcher told the New York Post on Sunday.

I have never seen anything like these bats. It looks like we are playing softball. It is a genius idea: all the mass is concentrated in one place.

Maybe it is unsportsmanlike, maybe not. But it is the Yankees, so they will let it go.

After the first half week of the new season, the Yankees are the story in Major League Baseball (MLB), the largest baseball competition in the world.

Several batters of the record champion use a new bat, which is shaped like a torpedo.

This is a better weapon, former Yankees player Kevin Smith wrote on X on Saturday.
