Channing Tatum no longer wants to gain weight for a film role. The American actor writes this on Instagram with a series of photos of his body.

The 44-year-old Tatum finds it too much work to get back to his own weight afterwards.

The Magic Mike actor writes that he is back to his own weight at 93 kilos. The second photo is 107 kilos for a film called Josephine.

Then I went to 78 kilos for a film called Roofman, says Tatum about the films, both of which have yet to be released.

Tatum says he is grateful for his genes, his trainer and his chef and nutritionist. Without them, he would not have been able to make those fluctuations in his weight, writes the actor.

“But I will not play fat roles anymore, haha. It is too hard for my body and it is too difficult to lose weight again now.

But damn, when I look at these photos, it is just bizarre what the human body and willpower can do.”

Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven, who also works as an actor these days, responded to Tatum’s post.

It takes a lot of work, dedication and discipline, he writes.
