Drummer Frank Ferrer is leaving Guns N’ Roses. The 58-year-old American joined the band in 2006 and is the longest-serving drummer of the group, which was founded in 1985.
The band thanks Ferrer in a statement on Instagram for his friendship, creativity and reliable presence over the past nineteen years.
We wish him much success in the next chapter of his musical journey, writes Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose.
The band also states that Ferrer has been a mainstay in the rhythm section during subsequent tours since his first performance with the group. His last performance with the band was on November 5, 2023 in Mexico.
Guns ‘N Roses is known for songs such as Sweet Child O’Mine, Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door and November Rain.
The group will start a new world tour on May 1.
